Delivery rates and policy + Terms and Conditions
Problems at the "Checkout" area of the site? Please check the following:
- Did you select the County in the delivery address?
- Be sure to click the button which says 'Click to calculate shipping'. An order cannot be processed until this has been clicked, even if there is no delivery charge.
- Some items, eg bulky items such as topsoil and gravel can only be delivered in or around County Dublin.
- Some items (eg most plants) have a minimum order of €60.00.

Delivery charge is per order, regardless of size. Minimum plants order: €60.00 
- FREE delivery on bulk orders of kiln dried logs & smaller items such as YakTrax and gardening gloves.
- Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare: €7.50 per order
- Rest of Ireland (32 Counties): €15.00 per order
- Bulky items (topsoil, bark mulch, etc): €30.00 per order
Delivery times
- 3-4 days for many items such as tools etc
- Please allow at least 10 working days for orders containing plants. We cannot offer an instant service for plants. Orders may be split into more than one delivery.
- Please allow 1-3 days for bulk landscape items such as screener topsoil, bark mulch etc. We will call you to arrange a convenient delivery time.
- Please allow 2-3 days for delivery of kiln dried logs, including Northern Ireland.
- Sorry - we cannot deliver at weekends.
- Refunds: If we cannot supply an item we refund you in full for it or offer an alternative.
Delivery: In Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare
we deliver in our own van. For the rest of the country we use DPD couriers who provide and excellent next-day delivery service. Plants are carefully packed by us in strong cardboard boxes - we use tape made from recycled paper which makes our packaging it easy to recycle.
You may be required to sign a delivery docket in order to take delivery. When placing your order, please use the box provided to notify us of any special instructions for delivery. Logs are delivered to as near as is practical to where you want to store them - we do not stack them for you!
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Returns and refunds policy: should you be in any way dissatisfied with any item you receive from dyg, please contact us at once stating your name and order number. As plants are perishable items, any complaints must be made withing 48 hours of receipt. We will naturally replace free of charge any plant or item which is deemed to be: not as specified when ordering; dead, diseased or damaged in any way; incorrectly labelled. As we source our plants from numerous suppliers, the container size of a plant may vary slightly from the size as specified. Please be aware that some plants at some times of year do not look good - you may receive what looks almost like an empty pot!
What if we can't get a plant? If you order and pay for a plant that we then cannot supply, it's quite simple - we refund you. Sometimes, there may be a delay on a specific plant. In that case, we email you with the option to 1) wait for us to have it or 2) refund you straight away.
Guarantee: Because plants are living things, we cannot guarantee their ongoing welfare and survival. We do guarantee that all plants will arrive to you in perfect condition, and will refund or replace at no charge any plant or item which is not in perfect condition when you receive it. We also guarantee that you receive just what you ordered in terms of container size and species. However, any complaints must be made within 48 hours of receipt of order. Plants illustrated on this website are shown at their best. Remember, they may not be in bloom, or even in leaf, when you receive them.
Our advice: All advice given on this site is given to help you to buy the right plants for your garden. However, if a plant does not thrive, or indeed dies, we cannot take any repsonsibility for this. We may also reply to individual customer queries on planting, but again, cannot be held responsible if any plants purchased on the strength of this advice fail to perform.
Prices: Prices of plants and other products are subject to change. However, you will be charged the amount that was on the website at the time of purchase, irrespective of any alterations made after this date.
Exports and currency: All prices are in Euro. We deliver throughout Ireland. We do not export elsewhere in Europe.
Transaction security: We do not store any cardholder information on our website. All transcations take place using a guaranteed completely secure service from Realex and Elavon, both world leaders in ultra-secure credit card transactions.
Payment method: There are three ways to pay for your dyg products.
1 - Credit card or laser card, via a guaranteed secure service provided by Realex and Elavon Merchant Services. This is the fastest and easiest method, and as soon as your order is placed we can begin to process it. You do not need to be at homewhen we deliver, and there is no need for us to wait for a cheque to clear.
2- Paypal. You can pay for your purchases on DYG with PayPal. This is just as secure as using our in-house system from Realex, and as some people have PayPal accounts, it it fast and easily managed.
3 - Cheque or money order. These should be made out to dyg.ie, and sent to Dyg, Ballycullen, Ashford, Co Wicklow. Cheques must first clear before we can process and deliver you order, so orders paid for by cheque will take up to ten days extra to deliver.
