Apple 'Egremont Russet'

This is an English variety from the Victorian era, known for its perfect harmony of taste and texture. The name russet refers to the fine sand-paper like quality of the skin; a trait that is generally out of favour amongst the supermarket varieties but that has a dedicated following among apple connoisseurs. This apple is known for its rich, nutty flavour and produces fruit from October through December. For pollination and better fruit, plant near 'James Grieve', 'Beauty of Bath', 'Irish Peach',  or 'Kerry Pippin'. Available all year round. 10L container.
