| Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert'
'Honorine Jobert' Japanese anemone
An accomodating, easy and very pretty plant. Anemone 'Honorine Jobert' has striking, pure white flowers with cheery yellow centres, held on airy stalk up to 80 cms high. It grows in most soils, and is more tolerant of drier, shadier conditions than many plants. It's a good choice for a site where other plants have failed, and it can spread to form large clumps. A late bloomer, it is somewhat invisible for the first half of the year. 2-3L pot.

| Astelia chathamica 'Silver Spear'
Astelia
An evergreen plant which is somewhere between a grass and a shrub. It has silver, strap-shaped leaves and grows in a dense clump up to 1 m high. It has something in common with the better-known Phormium (New Zealand flax), but this plant is stunning for its silver foliage and matt texture. Much in demand as an 'Architectural' plant, for its colour and form. Resents wet or water-logged soil. Can be grown in sun or shade, and requires some shelter from cold, drying winds. 3 L pot

| Convolvulus cneorum
Convolvulus
A charming plant with silvery leaves and masses of trumpet-shaped white flowers in summer - perfect for a well-drained sunny spot. This plant prefers a very well-drained position in full sun. Although it grows very well near the sea, it can be scorched by cold easterly winds. It spreads over the ground on woody stems and can cover an area 1 m across and 50 cms high and therfore makes a useful ground cover plant. Should only be pruned or cut back if necessary. Grows best if mulched with gravel or grit to keep its leaves away from damp soil. 2-3L container.
